I just bought my 4th Sylvie jacket. This year's is a little different than previous years. First, it's a little thinner. It's also a little snugger than past ones. I am a medium in almost everything, but I don't wear bulky clothes underneath, so I always have gotten a small in this jacket. This year's is a little smaller, but I still went with the small. If you wear big clothes underneath, go true to size. If not, size down unless you're top heavy. I am 5'6'' and the jacket hits right at the base of my bum. I love this jacket. It's definitely not a winter jacket, but a nice fall jacket, or sweater type to wear under a coat.I usually wear it over Patagonia knee length dresses, and end up not taking it off all day. Versatile.

Color: I purchased the Sylvie jacket in black and I will say first off, the color is not as dark as the picture. It is the only reason I didn't give the item 5 stars. I love the jacket, but the black is more of a charcoal grey than a deep black.
Fit: It fits true to size. I usually wear medium/8-10 in most tops and I ordered this jacket in medium. I am able to comfortably wear this jacket with layers underneath. The high neck is nice to block the wind, but it also looks very nice with the top buttons unbuttoned and the collar opened (it looks great with a scarf.)
Warmth/Comfort/Pockets:If you are looking for a heavy jacket/coat, this isn't it. It's a great outer layer for the fall, but it isn't thick enough to be a warm winter coat. It has a nice feel and has a light fleece layer inside and feels almost like sweatshirt material outside (basically it is a dressy sweatshirt). It's also 100% cotton, so it's easy to take care of and wash. It has two pockets on the side (the front pockets are faux pockets.)
Overall impression: a very cute jacket, comfortable, and suitable for cool, fall weather.

This jacket runs very small and the material is thin. It is definitely not worth the price. I returned it.
